BRNDNMDD (pronounced Brand Name Dude) is the operating name used by Jay Reason, an independent interactive project manager / producer with over 15 years of real-world experience. Producing over 100 projects for Sony Music’s largest artists including Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson and Miles Davis; Sony DADC, RCA Records, Legacy Recordings, Google, Grand Visual and live events such as Diamond In The Rough powered by Reverb Nation.
Producer for a wide range of interactive content including websites, online interactive campaigns, real-world video productions, live events and more.
Jay is a graphic designer, digital content creator, reformed musician based out of Connecticut. Prior to becoming a full time project manager / producer, Jay was the lead singer and founder of hardcore punk bands Voice Of Reason (Triple Crown Records, Victory Records) and toured internationally with his band The Distance (Bridge 9 Records, Century Media); Working with a wide array of the top music industry producers, writers, video directors and marketers, before disbanding in 2008. On the rare occasion music is made by Reason, he does front, Blackened (which features ex & current members of Hatebreed) who released one highly acclaimed full length album on Think Fast Records and is a partner in Working Class Industry, the brainchild of musical artist and entrepreneur Chris Kirkpatrick (N*SYNC).
Getting his start as label manager of Stillborn Records, Hatebreed frontman / former MTV Headbangers Ball host Jamey Jasta’s, label. Jay was responsible for being the driving force in label expansion and e-commerce by initiating contacts which lead to the label being distributed by Caroline, from 2001 – 2007. Bands of that era have gone on to have success at major labels and larger independents, some still active, many years later.
